Wilderness soundtrack by James Bacon with cello improvisation by Liz Hanks

‘Wilderness’ by James Bacon. My cello part was improvised and recorded remotely for an online exhibition of photographs depicting urban landscapes during the 2020 UK lockdown.

This is a composition I made during lockdown for the Made by Mortals project with the Johnny Barlow Theatre Company, Manchester. 'Hidden' an interactive audio experience exploring the hidden lives people are facing during social isolation and this music is part of the podcast. The theatre company is a group for adults who have experienced mental health issues and/or learning difficulties and use the creation and performance of new music theatre to improve wellbeing and bring about social action. I worked with the group remotely to workshop ideas for the piece and created and recorded the music in my home studio.
